Connecting Your Account

Connect your FlouState account to start tracking your focus time automatically. Our OAuth integration makes this process secure and seamless.

Sign In Process

  1. 1

    Open Command Palette

    Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac)

  2. 2

    Run Sign In Command

    Type FlouState: Sign In and press Enter

  3. 3

    Authorize in Browser

    Your browser will open. Sign in to your FlouState account and authorize the extension

  4. 4

    Return to VS Code

    After authorization, you'll be redirected back to VS Code automatically

Account Options

New Users

Don't have an account yet? No problem! When you run the sign in command, you can create a new account directly from the browser.

  • No credit card required

Existing Users

Already have a FlouState account? Great! You can sign in with:

  • Email and password
  • GitHub OAuth (one-click)

Secure Authentication

FlouState uses OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication:

  • • Your password is never stored in VS Code
  • • Authentication tokens are encrypted and stored securely
  • • You can revoke access anytime from your account settings
  • • All data transmission is encrypted with HTTPS

Connection Status

Once connected, you'll see your connection status in the VS Code status bar:

Connected: Timer ready, tracking active
Reconnecting: Temporary connection issue
Disconnected: Click to reconnect

Troubleshooting

Browser didn't open?

Check VS Code's notification area for a link to open manually

Can't authorize?

Make sure you're signed in to FlouState in your browser first

Connection lost?

Run FlouState: Reconnect to Server from the command palette
