Installing the VS Code Extension

The FlouState VS Code extension is your gateway to tracking real coding productivity. Here's how to get started in under a minute.

Installation Methods

Method 1: VS Code Marketplace (Recommended)

  1. Open VS Code
  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+X (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+X (Mac)
  3. Search for "FlouState"
  4. Click the Install button
  5. You're ready to go!

Method 2: Command Line

code --install-extension floustate.floustate

Method 3: Direct Link

Visit the marketplace directly and click Install:

Verify Installation

After installation, you should see:

  • Status Bar Timer: Look at the bottom of VS Code. You'll see a FlouState timer icon
  • Command Palette: Press Ctrl+Shift+P and type "FlouState" to see all commands
  • Extension List: The extension appears in your installed extensions

System Requirements

  • • FlouState account (free to create)

Troubleshooting

Extension not showing up?
